Life has a way of throwing curveballs, and whether you’re running a business, practicing yoga, or simply trying to meet a personal goal, things don’t always unfold as you envision them. It’s those moments—when frustration sets in, when the tear
s or anger rise—that we’re truly tested. And you know what? It’s okay to feel that frustration. Let it out. Let yourself experience it fully.
But once you’ve let it out, take a moment to reflect. Have you given it your all? Did you put in your 100%? If so, take a breath and remind yourself that setbacks are part of the journey. You’re not failing; you’re learning, growing, and gaining strength in the process.
This idea is especially powerful in yoga practice. Imagine trying to master a handstand. You show up on your mat, day after day, building strength, improving balance, and yet the moment you kick up, gravity pulls you back down. It’s frustrating. But every attempt brings you closer to your goal. The point isn’t about getting it right immediately; it’s about the consistency, the effort, and the resilience you show every time you try.
The same applies to life and business. When things don’t go as planned, ask yourself: Is there another way to approach this? Could you try something different? But no matter what, as long as you’re moving forward, you haven’t failed. The only time we truly fail is when we give up on ourselves.
So, next time frustration takes over, give yourself permission to feel it, but don’t stop there. Keep going. Keep showing up for yourself—on the mat, in business, in life. After all, it’s the journey, not the destination, that makes us who we are.
